About me
I have worked as a therapist for over fifteen years and a coach for eight years.
I have a first-class BA (Hons) in Humanistic Counselling Practice and an MSc in Applied Positive Psychology. My counselling degree focused mainly on the Humanistic approach; however, I also have experience in Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Transactional Analysis, and Life Coaching. For my Masters, I took a particular interest in resilience, ADHD, happiness, and hedonic adaptation. I have worked in a wide range of settings including an FE College, an Addictions Centre and a Bereavement Service. I have also run my own private practice since 2012.
Professional Membership
I am an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and am bound by their ethical framework.
Insurance
I am insured for my counselling, coaching and supervision work with Towergate Professional Risks, Towergate House, Five Airport West, Lancaster Way, Yeadon, Leeds, LS19 7ZA.
Supervision
I attend monthly supervision sessions, which supports me in my practice and is essential for on-going professionalism and development.
